An example is the negative ion spectrum of l,2:5,6-dibenzanthracene plus TNB shown in Figure 17. The (M+15)~ peak at m/z 293 is quite distinct. An ion corresponding to (M+NO2)" (m/z = 324) also has been observed for a few of the aromatic hydrocarbons studied.
