In another, energy (or Qi) is supplied, which travels along the meridians to balance the energy flows. To test these hypotheses we did two experiments in the mouse squeak model. In one we injected procaine, a local nerve anesthetic, and found that when nerve impulses were blocked, the AA effect was abolished.
