The arrival of the Princess of France with three of her beautiful ladies complicates this decision in comedic fashion. ➤ A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As the Duke of Athens prepares to wed the Queen of the Amazons, two young men fall in love with the same girl, complicated by another girl jilted by one of the men. Into this mix is a quarrel between the King and Queen of the Fairies. ➤ King John. A study in the futility of war and the price that a country and a family can pay over struggles for the throne.

She is also his muse, the inspiration for Shakespeare’s Juliet, and a blonde. (The “Dark Lady” a blonde? ) In the script, the writers use Shakespeare’s very words, play upon his mystery, and use a Shakespearean plot device.
